Inclusion Maine, an L3C Membership Association, is committed to educating organizations in Maine about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We proudly organize the Inclusion Maine Conference annually in the spring, as well as operate the DEI Education & Community Center available online 24/7.

    1.) Maine's population is growing rapidly in racially diversity.

    Maine's demographics are changing and continue to accelerate in change towards greater racial diversity. There has been a 81.1% increase in racially diverse populations in Maine over the past 10 years.

    3.) Population growth in is largely due to racial diverse communities.

    Maine needs to invest in attracting racially diverse populations to our state because racially diverse populations have been the greatest contributor to the population growth for us. Over 96% of the population growth, over the last decade, was due to non-white or mixed populations moving to Maine.

Muhammad Humza Khan is the Founder and CEO of Inclusion Maine, which organizes the Inclusion Maine Conference, a state-wide multi day event on attracting racially diverse professionals to Maine’s workforce and meet business demands around talent shortages. Inclusion Maine also provides select services on recruiting, consulting, and organizational assessments with the mission of improving workforce diversity and inclusion.

Humza’s background is in DEI, HR, and workforce development. He has professionals experience working in education, healthcare, nonprofit, and municipal government, including in Maine’s rural communities.

Executive Assistant

Sophie Garner is a social media management and conference planning professional. Bringing a mix of creativity and critical thinking to her work, she leverages her Political Science background to promote inclusivity. Excelling as an Executive Assistant, Sophie enhances conference experiences by managing attendee logistics and introducing innovative solutions such as the Attendee App. Her keen eye for detail and focus on building meaningful relationships make her an essential part of any team. Ahmad Khan

Finance

Ahmad Khan is a professional with over 8 years of accounting, financial analysis, auditing experience. Ahmad grew up in Maine and studied at the University of Southern Maine. After completing his education, Ahmad moved outside of Maine. After gaining accounting and auditing experience, he returned to Maine and has worked in Maine since than.

Ahmad is originally from a South Asian background and has lived the majority of his life in Maine. Moving to Maine and living here has allowed Ahmad to complete his education, gain professional experience, and settle down with his family. Maine is home and he does not see that changing. Ahmad joined Inclusion Maine because Maine’s racial diversity is increasing and he wants to support that.

As the COO and Developer, I am dedicated to crafting innovative solutions to help tour guides and their guests have a better life-changing experience from browsing to booking to the experience to reviews and in-app tipping.
