Inclusion Maine provides an annual assessment of employee inclusion and improvements for the workplace experience, especially for employees from diverse backgrounds. Annually, we will examine survey feedback from all employees, benefits information, and feedback from focus groups.

Benefits of Inclusion Maine’s Assessment:

  • Employee Belonging and Inclusion Survey: Organization-wide survey about the employee’s workplace experience - Identify potential challenges faced by staff members, especially those from diverse backgrounds.

  • Policies and Benefits Review: HR Assessment and review of organizational policies to identify areas for improvement for employees from all backgrounds.

  • Employee Experience Improvements: Recommendations developed by experts from diverse backgrounds.

  • Focus Groups: Conduct direct interviews and focus groups with staff and key stakeholders to gather valuable insights.

  • Awards Ceremony: Ceremony for the employers involved.

Inclusive Workplace: Employers successfully completing the assessment with a positive result will be able to display the Inclusive Workplaces logo in all marketing and communications materials.

Muhammad Humza Khan

Founder & CEO

Muhammad Humza Khan is the Founder and CEO of Inclusion Maine, which organizes the Inclusion Maine Conference, a state-wide multi day event on attracting racially diverse professionals to Maine’s workforce and meet business demands around talent shortages. Inclusion Maine also provides select services on recruiting, consulting, and organizational assessments with the mission of improving workforce diversity and inclusion.

Humza’s background is in DEI, HR, and workforce development. He has professionals experience working in education, healthcare, nonprofit, and municipal government, including in Maine’s rural communities.
